If your father is not a great man, why did your people choose him as their leader? Or maybe he is a good man, but not so good a father?

[He put his hand on TJ's knee and gave it a squeeze. Ragnar had yet to meet a man who managed to be a good leader, a good man, a good husband, and a good father. Something, or a few somethings, usually fell by the wayside. It was a sacrifice one had to make.]

Why? To have an heir and a family. [He shrugged.] Arrangments such as that are not impossible. Or unheard of.

But here you feel you have that freedom?
